I am including this in the Rainbow Connections because this is becoming an alarming problem in this country. I ask that you read this page and then join the voice of stopping this insane abuse.

Environmental Awareness is not just about the rainforest, recycling, and conservation it is about respect for one's personal environment as well. In my personal environment that helps me maintain my personal balance are my family and my domestic animals. I have noticed a growing trend nation-wide toward the torture and killing of particularly felines for pleasure. Some observations I have about this trend is that the perpetrators are usually adolescent males and that there isn't any lasting punishment for these perpetrators. The most they get is a "misdemeanor".

Animal rights folks work hard and furious wherever they can to make this misdemeanor into a felony but its now time for all who care to get involved.

No action requested just another report on Abuse

In our neighborhood we have a very fair and humane pet store that does not allow any animal to be mistreated or put in cages to small. They only take kittens and ferrets that have been given to them and do not subscribe to any "mills". They do not give their unsold pets to research or any such thing -- they give them to families who want them.

Early this month an arson deliberately burned the pet store down killing over 50 birds and fish. The arson took the only ferret they had and the Clinic's Cockatoo bird perished in the fire. It is our hope that the ferret will return with its Kidnapper and Arsonist in hand cuffs.

PUPPY MILLS
